{"id":25217,"date":"2019-10-25T14:27:28","date_gmt":"2019-10-25T18:27:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=25217"},"modified":"2019-10-25T14:38:18","modified_gmt":"2019-10-25T18:38:18","slug":"se-opp-hornepayne-cdsa-warrant-seizes-130000-of-cash-suspected-drugs-and-firearms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2019\/10\/25\/se-opp-hornepayne-cdsa-warrant-seizes-130000-of-cash-suspected-drugs-and-firearms\/","title":{"rendered":"SE OPP Hornepayne &#8211; CDSA Warrant seizes $130,000 of cash, suspected drugs and firearms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/hornepayneWarrant.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-25221\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/hornepayneWarrant-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"417\" height=\"417\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/hornepayneWarrant-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/hornepayneWarrant-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/hornepayneWarrant-600x598.png 600w, https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/hornepayneWarrant-70x70.png 70w, https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/hornepayneWarrant.png 754w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 417px) 100vw, 417px\" \/><\/a>On October 24, 2019 at approximately 11:18 a.m., members of the North East Region Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence on Cedar Avenue in Hornepayne, Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>The search resulted in police locating and seizing quantities of cash, suspected drugs and firearms.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Approximately 10,000 suspected methamphetamine tablets<\/li>\n<li>Approximately 250 grams of suspected cocaine<\/li>\n<li>Approximately $5000 in cash<\/li>\n<li>Three firearms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The street value of the drugs seized is approximately $130,000.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the investigation, three people were arrested and charged.<\/p>\n<p>Kevin ARCHER, a 46-year-old from Hornepayne, Ontario was charged with the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking &#8211; Other Drugs, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA),<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking &#8211; Cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA,<\/li>\n<li>Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Kristina TELFORD, a 48-year-old from Hornepayne Ontario, was charged with the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking &#8211; Other Drugs, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA,<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking &#8211; Cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA,<\/li>\n<li>Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC.<\/li>\n<li>Breach of Firearms Regulation &#8211; Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon (Two Counts), contrary to section 86(2) of the CC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Keith TELFORD, an 18-year-old from Hornepayne, Ontario, was charged with the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Breach of Firearms Regulation &#8211; Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon, contrary to section 86(2) of the CC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All three accused parties were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on November 28, 2019 in Hornepayne, Ontario.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On October 24, 2019 at approximately 11:18 a.m., members of the North East Region Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence on Cedar Avenue in Hornepayne, Ontario.
