{"id":23020,"date":"2019-07-26T10:42:01","date_gmt":"2019-07-26T14:42:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=23020"},"modified":"2019-07-26T10:58:28","modified_gmt":"2019-07-26T14:58:28","slug":"create-a-logo-market-your-thoughts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2019\/07\/26\/create-a-logo-market-your-thoughts\/","title":{"rendered":"Create a Logo &#038; Market your Thoughts"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>Earlier this spring, the Superior East CFDC in partnership with the Head Start in Business Initiative delivered two youth entrepreneurship programs called \u201cCreate a Logo\u201d and \u201cMarket Your Thoughts\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The programs are designed for students in grades 3 to 8 to help promote entrepreneurship. The Create a Logo program asks students in grades 3 to 6 to design a logo for a business. For Market Your Thoughts, the grade 7 &amp; 8 students are asked to write an essay on a business they would like to establish. All schools within the region were invited to participate. The entries are judged by local individuals to determine the winners. Regional Winner (GRADE 5) \u2013 April Charbonneau, St-Joseph French Immersion, Wawa<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Now that the competition has ended, Phil Dittburner, Program Coordinator \u2013 Head Start in Business and Chantal Croft, Community Development Officer \u2013 Superior East CFDC awarded certificates to students who participated in the two programs and a total of 7 winners within our region. The winners received a cheque for $25 and were also presented with a t-shirt and a water bottle.<\/p>\n<p>Also this year we had the honour to present one of the six regional awards to a student in schools of the Superior East region!!!
