{"id":21943,"date":"2019-06-06T08:05:20","date_gmt":"2019-06-06T12:05:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=21943"},"modified":"2019-06-06T08:05:20","modified_gmt":"2019-06-06T12:05:20","slug":"algoma-u-and-sault-college-partnership-creates-more-opportunities-for-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2019\/06\/06\/algoma-u-and-sault-college-partnership-creates-more-opportunities-for-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Algoma U and Sault College Partnership Creates More Opportunities for Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/SaultCollegeLogo.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-695\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/SaultCollegeLogo.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"108\" \/><\/a>Algoma University and Sault College announced new academic pathways to support enhanced student mobility between the College and the University.<\/p>\n<p>This expanded partnership between the two post-secondary institutions builds on the number of enhanced transfer pathways available to students who wish to complete a Sault College diploma and then seamlessly transition to Algoma U to complete a degree in a related area of study.<\/p>\n<p>Programs included in this \u201c2+1\u201d and \u201c2+2\u201d partnership (two years at Sault College and then one or two years at Algoma U) include:<\/p>\n<p><strong>SC: \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 AU:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Computer Programmer \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2013&gt; Bachelor of Computer Science (2+1.5)<\/p>\n<p>Computer Program Analyst \u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2013&gt; Bachelor of Computer Science (2+1)<\/p>\n<p>General Arts and Science \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014-&gt; Bachelor of Arts Honours in English, History, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology (2+2)<\/p>\n<p>The College and University signed similar agreements earlier this year in programs such as Business and Accounting, Park and Recs and Police Foundation, seeing a 28 per cent spike in interest from Sault College grads in these programs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis partnership supports learning and highlights our joint commitment to providing institution to institution pathway opportunities,\u201d said Sault College President Dr. Ron Common.
