On February 8, 2019 shortly after 11:00 p.m., members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Nipissing District Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Marten River Fire Department, responded to a call for a collision on Highway 11, just north of Tonomo Lake in Temagami, Ontario.<\/p>\n
Further investigation revealed that one tractor trailer had been travelling southbound\u00a0on Highway 11, and lost control. The tractor trailer ended up striking a guard rail and then jack-knifing across the highway, blocking both lanes.\u00a0\u00a0A second tractor trailer following the initial vehicle, rear-ended the trailer of the truck. The highway had to be closed in both directions to allow for cleanup of the debris.<\/p>\n
The driver of the first tractor trailer sustained minor injuries.<\/p>\n
