{"id":18065,"date":"2019-01-15T09:08:24","date_gmt":"2019-01-15T14:08:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=18065"},"modified":"2019-01-15T09:08:24","modified_gmt":"2019-01-15T14:08:24","slug":"se-opp-hornepayne-sunday-drive-results-in-impaired-charges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2019\/01\/15\/se-opp-hornepayne-sunday-drive-results-in-impaired-charges\/","title":{"rendered":"SE OPP Hornepayne- Sunday Drive results in Impaired Charges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/OPPCrest-e1501592123859.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-101\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/OPPCrest-300x236.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a>On Sunday, January 13, 2019, at approximately 2:00 p.m., members of the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a pickup truck driving extremely slow and crossing centre line on Third Avenue in Hornepayne, Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>A traffic stop was initiated to ensure the sobriety of the driver.\u00a0After speaking with the driver, officers demanded a breath sample to confirm his sobriety.\u00a0After registering a &#8220;Fail&#8221; on an approved screening device, the driver was arrested and brought to the White River OPP Detachment for further testing.\u00a0As a result of the police investigation, Michael LATOSKI, 69 years of age, from Hornepayne, Ontario, was charged with the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operation while impaired &#8211; blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), contrary to section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The driver was issued a 90-day Automatic Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.<\/p>\n<p>The accused is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Hornepayne, Ontario, on March 21, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The OPP remind motorists that no amount of alcohol or drug is safe to consume and then drive.\u00a0Report impaired drivers.\u00a0Should you observe a suspected impaired driver, please dial 911 or contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Sunday, January 13, 2019, at approximately 2:00 p.m., members of the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a pickup truck driving extremely slow and crossing centre line on Third Avenue in Hornepayne, Ontario.
