A major winter storm will affect the regions Wednesday night through\u00a0Friday with heavy snow and blowing snow.<\/p>\n

Snow accumulations may be in the 15 to 25-centimetre range. Strong\u00a0Northeasterly winds with gusts to 60 km\/h may reduce visibility at\u00a0times.<\/p>\n

The storm is due to a Colorado Low which will make its way into\u00a0Northwestern Ontario late Wednesday. The heaviest snow will end late\u00a0Thursday, however blowing snow may persist through Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some\u00a0locations. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced\u00a0visibility in some locations. If you must travel, keep others\u00a0informed of your schedule and destination and carry an emergency kit\u00a0and a mobile phone.<\/p>\n

Winter storm watches are issued when multiple types of severe winter\u00a0weather are expected to occur together.<\/p>\n
