{"id":15766,"date":"2018-10-03T17:57:40","date_gmt":"2018-10-03T21:57:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=15766"},"modified":"2018-10-04T13:30:52","modified_gmt":"2018-10-04T17:30:52","slug":"do-you-have-an-expired-health-card","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2018\/10\/03\/do-you-have-an-expired-health-card\/","title":{"rendered":"Do you have an EXPIRED Health Card?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If your health card is expired, are you aware that you no longer have <strong>Ontario Health Insurance\u00a0<\/strong>coverage and exactly what that means to you?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/health-card.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-15767\" src=\"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/health-card-300x190.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"190\" \/><\/a>If you do not renew your health card:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will NOT qualify for the Northern Ontario Travel Grant<\/li>\n<li>You will have to pay \u201cup front\u201d if you require out of town testing such as an MRI, labs, diagnostic imagining or medical procedures, consultations and professional services.<\/li>\n<li>You will have to pay \u201cup front\u201d if you are traveling in another province and require health care<\/li>\n<li>You will be billed for all routine clinic appointments<\/li>\n<li>You may be REFUSED a consultation appointment with a specialist.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can renew your health card, <strong>free of charge<\/strong>, at the Wawa Services Ontario office, located at the Ministry of Natural Resources building on Mission Road.<\/p>\n<p>Office hours are:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Monday\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 11 am \u2013 3 pm<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Tuesday \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 11 am \u2013 3 pm<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Wednesday \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a01 pm \u2013 5 pm<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Thursday\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 11 am \u2013 3 pm<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Friday\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 11 am \u2013 3 pm<\/p>\n<p>Once you have renewed your health card, please bring your new card into our office, at 17 Government Road, Wawa, so your coverage can be seamlessly re-instated.<\/p>\n<p>SOURCE &#8211; Wawa Family Health Team<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If your health card is expired, are you aware that you no longer have Ontario Health Insurance\u00a0coverage and exactly what that means to you?
