{"id":15491,"date":"2018-09-19T08:08:18","date_gmt":"2018-09-19T12:08:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/?p=15491"},"modified":"2018-09-17T09:06:44","modified_gmt":"2018-09-17T13:06:44","slug":"from-the-branch-september-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wawa-news.com\/index.php\/2018\/09\/19\/from-the-branch-september-19\/","title":{"rendered":"From the Branch &#8211; September 19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Sep 19, 2018 @ 08:08<\/b><\/p>\n<p>So the branch had their first Membership Meeting and there are quite a few things on their future agenda.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One important thing is Remembrance Day, as this year is the 100th\u00a0Anniversary of the end of WW1.<\/li>\n<li>This week, from September 16-20 is LEGION WEEK and a very good week to join!<\/li>\n<li>Our Ladies Auxiliary will have a Spaghetti Dinner on September 20 from 5.00 till 7.00 pm<\/li>\n<li>On September 22nd there will be a stop made by a group of motorcycle riders from Sault Ste. Marie to Marathon. They should arrive here at about noon and have a break at the Legion.<\/li>\n<li>September&#8217;s Legion Ladies Luncheon is on September 27 from 11:30 till 1:00.<\/li>\n<li>Our annual Christmas Dinner\/Dance will be on December 15.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We have a big thank you for Glen Campbell for fixing the box on the pool table, So come on out and play a few balls.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>So this guy walked into his regular watering hole and says to his buddies \u201c I had a big fight with the wife, but when it was over she came to me on hands and knees!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>So his friend said \u201cAnd then what?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>She told me\u201d Come out from under that bed, you CHICKEN S..T.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>T0 all our Comrades sick at home, in the hospital or nursing homes you are in our thoughts and prayers and we wish you well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sep 19, 2018 @ 08:08 So the branch had their first Membership Meeting and there are quite a few things on their future agenda.
