He attacked democracy. And now, he\u2019s attacking any Ontario person who dares to disagree with him,\u201d said Horwath.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\u201cHe has signaled that he\u2019ll use this tactic to undermine our Rights and Freedoms anytime he feels like it. We won\u2019t stand for Mr. Ford\u2019s blatant abuse of power \u2013 New Democrats will continue to speak up and reject his attack on our Charter rights.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Horwath\u00a0said she will file for a special amendment to stall the progress of Ford\u2019s Charter bashing bill for two sessional days, adding that they\u2019ll use whatever tools they can to slow down Ford\u2019s steamroll over the people, and their Charter of Rights and Freedoms.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\u201cThe jurdicairy has a critical role to play in a democracy. So does the media.
