Dryden Ambulance, Air Ambulance and Wabigoon Volunteer Fire Department attended the scene.<\/p>\n<p>A passenger in the mini-van was pronounced dead at the scene and the two other occupants in the mini-van are being transported for medical attention of unknown injuries.\u00a0The driver of the SUV is being transported\u00a0to Thunder Bay\u00a0for medical treatment of unknown injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The identification of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.<\/p>\n<p>The Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) unit is attending the scene to conduct their investigation.\u00a0The cause of the collision is still under investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Highway 17 will be closed for an undetermined period of time while the investigation is conducted.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h1>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On August 22, 2018 at approximately 11:10 a.m. officers from the Dryden Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 17, Southworth Township, approximately 30 km East of Dryden.
