Wawa-news has confirmed that the barricades have been removed and Highway 101 from Wawa to Chapleau is indeed open.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to OPP Communications ‘tweet’, Highway 101 (Wawa to Chapleau) remains closed. There has not been any media releases for this highway closure, only tweets.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At 1:10 Hwy 101 was opened to Chapleau.<\/p>\n

It is confusing why the Shawmere River is mentioned, as the highway was only closed to Chapleau. The Shawmere River is well on the other side of Chapleau. There has not been any OPP media releases.<\/p>\n

At 10:43 p.m. Ontario511 tweeted that Highway 101 from Wawa to Chapleau has been closed due to poor weather.<\/p>\n
