Evolugen Donates to Wawa Fire Department

WFD Thanks Rotary Club of Wawa for Donation!

Mar 19, 2018 @ 08:24   Members of the Wawa Fire Department were very excited when Rotarian Gib Sabourin presented them with $5,050. The fire department bought a portable water pressure tester for the fire hoses. This and other essential pieces of equipment will be on display at the Wawa Fire Department’s Open House later this spring.

WFD Called to Possible Fire on Hwy 17N this morning

Early this morning the Wawa Fire Department was called to a transport trailer about 15 kilometres north of Wawa on Highway 17. The transport driver had removed the tractor from the trailer as a precaution, and the smell of burnt brakes was heavy in the air. There was no fire though.  OPP remained at the scene, providing traffic control.
