Marine – Wind light becoming southeast 10 knots this morning then backing to east 10 this afternoon. Wind becoming variable 10 near midnight then increasing to east 15 Thursday afternoon. Wind backing to northeast 15 Thursday evening.

Waves – one half metre or less building to one half to one metre Thursday afternoon.

News Tidbits – MNR Forest Fires – One new fire was discovered on Aug 7. Wawa 14 is currently under control at 0.1 of a hectare. There have been no new fires discovered by the afternoon of Aug 8. There are 17 active fires in the region, 15 of which are located in the far north. Most northern fires are being observed to allow ecological benefits to occur naturally. The fire hazard is currently low to moderate across the region.
