Man tosses Garbage out of Vehicle – Charged with Mischief

On June 24, 2017, shortly after 6:00 p.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 17 in the Town of Bruce Mines.

 

A passenger in a moving vehicle was throwing garbage out the window causing damage to a vehicle that was following it.  The vehicle came to a stop at residence on Sprout Street and a confrontation ensued between the complainant and the male passenger. The complainant left the area and called police. OPP officers located the vehicle at a residence on Water Street in the Town of Thessalon.

 

As a result of the investigation, Ronald BARON, 42 years of age, from Thessalon, Ontario, was charged with:

  • Mischief Under $5000, contrary to section 430(4) of the Criminal Code (CC); and with
  • Causing a Disturbance, contrary to section 175(1)(a) of the CC.

 

The accused is scheduled to appear in before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on August 3, 2017.
