Thursday Morning News – June 22

Jun 22, 2017 @ 07:44

Weather – A few showers ending in the afternoon then a mix of sun and cloud. Fog patches dissipating near noon. Wind becoming south-east 20 km/h in the morning. High 17. UV index 7 or high.

News Tidbits – Today is the Annual Red Cross Garden Party, should be enjoyable once the showers end.

In sad news, Sir James Dunn Public School will close and a new facility JK – 12 be created at MHS. Despite the School Board being insistent that SJD is not closing and phrasing it instead as an amalgamation. Opinion in Wawa is once those doors are closed, the new school may bear Sir Dunn’s name – but it won’t be the same.
