Hwy 631 has been closed since midnight when OPP closed it due to poor weather. The OPP advised at 4:24 via Twitter that Highway 631 remains closed at this time. At about 4 a.m. the snow began to accumulate in Wawa.

 

The highway conditions are charted below, and photos taken from the Ontario511 site are posted below.

 

The weather for Wawa by Environment Canada says “Drizzle at times mixed with wet snow ending near noon then cloudy. Wind becoming north 20 km/h gusting to 40 this morning. High 7.”
