SE OPP Wawa – Attempting to Locate a Wanted Female

Members of the Superior East detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are attempting to locate a wanted female.

Twenty-six-year-old Melissa WHELAN of SHERBROOKE, QUEBEC is described as a white female, being 5′ 2″ tall, weighing 130 pounds with short dark hair and brown eyes. She has neck tattoos and is in possession of her pet rabbit. She is currently wanted for 3 counts of mischief under $5,000, theft over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and break and enter.

The above charges are as a result of a theft of a motor vehicle, break and entering into a local hotel and multiple vehicles as well as mischief to the local golf course. All of these crimes were reported to the Superior East OPP over the last 24 hours and investigation is continuing.

Investigators would like anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts to contact the OPP immediately or their nearest police authority. No attempt should be made to apprehend her.
